FAITH - What is faith? Why do we need it? Where does it come from? Can I see faith? Do I have faith?
Faith is the substance of things hoped for with the evidence of things not seen. Faith is powerful. With faith you can move a mountain.
Faith comes and calms a raging sea. Faith, if you believe, can let you walk on water to an outstretched hand of the Creator in the middle of a dark and stormy sea. Walking on nothing but faith because something, so power inside asks these words
"Come to Me"...
To everyone is given a measure of faith. That is all we need even though it is the size of a mustard seed, which is so tiny the eyes can barely see it. Just a little bit of faith goes a long way.
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, MOVE from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
So how do we get more faith? Faith comes by hearing and reading His word. So just think, everyone who reads this today will be
given a fresh handful of faith...
Mustard Seed
By: Nancy G Brundrett
This is along journey my friend, I can see it coming around the bend
Can't always be the easy way, best things in life a sacrifice you must pay
Isn't it good for us to know that His spirit lives within the soul
There to help us and guide us along the way and to save us and heal us everyday
I know that joy comes in the morning, I always love to read those words
Dark is the hour right before the dawn, but look, here comes faith and our troubles are gone.
Faith can be a hard road sometimes
Easy for everyone but ourselves
But it's the human need, I say the human need
That only God can feed, only God can feed
And in my hand is a mustard seed...
That's all I need, that's all I need...
May you feel the fullness of faith in your life today. May faith come and hold you with loving arms.
Do you ever just long for some peace in your life? Where do you go to get peace? I find peace in His word.
Phillippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which transcends all understandings, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
RAINDANCE
Looking out
I see the clouds are rolling in.
I stand and watch
as if I'm looking for some sign.
How can it be
that I feel so out of place?
How can it be
that I feel so far from home?
And at that moment
when the rain begins to fall...
As the drops begin to trace their paths
down the window pane...
I wonder why...
I wonder why...
How many times
have I come to this place.
How many times
have I stood
on the edge looking out...
at a world
I just don't understand...
And longed for a touch to bring me "peace".
How can it be
that I feel so out of place?
How can it be
that I feel so all alone?
And at that moment
When my soul begins to ache...
And the drops of rain trace their paths
down the window pane...
I wonder why...
I wonder why...
I think of how
my life is like the rain.
Searching for a resting place
I never seem to find.
And I know
that too soon the time will come
When like the rain
my dreams will vanish in the sun.
Why must it be
that I feel so all alone?
Why must it be
that the answer never comes?
And the sound of the rain
is all I hear...
And the endless drops continue
on their way into the night.
I wonder why...
Please tell me why..
And still I stand
and watch
As if
I had no place to go.
Waiting for the rain
to wash me clean.
Waiting for the rain
to make me whole.
Waiting for a touch
to take me home...
(written by a Christian friend of mine)
The soul cries out and longs for peace. True peace can come in the rain and wash us and comfort us.
Hosea 6:3
Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the
winter rains,
like the spring rains that
water the earth."

Nobody's Heart
by: Rod McKuen
I am the blade
that slices the rose
from off of it's stem
to the bottle.
I am the table
the chair is tucked under.
I am the engine's throttle.
I am the willow
with branch downcast
who never looks up
at the sparrow.
I am the arrow
aimed at the jugular
that enters the heart of heart.
I am the woman
who sat by the sea
and swallowed the world
as she waited.
I am the rock
who hit the king's eye
the first week of October.
I am justice,
a little one-sided,
ashamed to be part
of the system.
I am the name
that wasn't crossed off
please to have been invited.
I am the noun
that wants to be useful.
Why am I not a verb?
I am the valentine
still unopened
that nobody ever sent.
I am the opening
you come through
to get to the other side.
I am the valentine
still upopened
that nobody's heart will ride.
I went to watch the sunset yesterday in Rockport which is on the Gulf of Mexico. I drove down to the ocean alone and with my personal journal. I always take my camera. I love to capture unique sunsets. It was one of the most unusual ones my eyes had
ever seen. It carried a deep red with a yellow capped sun. It poured and melted into the ocean's horizon that was swallowed by
the charcoal black ocean water's hue. It was almost huanting yet there was some holding in it. To me sunrises and sunsets have a holding ability in their heavenly arms. Everyone yearns to be held. As for me, I find my holdings in the sunsets.
Official launch of journal. Actually posted by Christina LOL!
